You should be here to finish school, but unfortunately on March 13 at the end of the day, as students were just arriving home after a long week of school, Governor Northam announced that schools would be closed for two weeks. Shortly after that announcement came the news that was historic: schools were closed for the remainder of the school year. Students continued to learn online, take AP tests, and even finish the yearbook. Here are some of the stories that took place before and after March 13.

Some of the Royals Media reporters attended to of the presidential primary rallies which occurred just prior to Super Tuesday. Seniors Madison Bailey and Harmony Thomas traveled to Richmond to cover Senator Bernie Sanders, while Carter Marks went to Norfolk to report on VP Joe Biden.

PGTV producer Madison Koren produced a video from home using Zoom and other video tools.

TikTok was the go to social media app in 2020 for video and several students tried to teach their teachers just what it entailed.

Artists, performers and singers came together for the 2020 Spring Fling, the last big event to happen in the high school commons.

The Talent Show was sponsored by 4H and showcased singing, dancing and original performances.
